GuideNeurIPS

NeurIPS 2025 formatting · pages, double-blind, checklist

NeurIPS desk-rejects over-length bodies and identity leaks. Style the PDF first, then complete the checklist.

What counts as pages

Main text ≤ 9 pages including figures and tables. References, the required checklist, and optional appendices do not count.

Camera-ready usually gets +1 content page. Main PDF often ≤ 50MB. Confirm the year’s CFP.

Double-blind pitfalls

PDF, supplements, and linked code must stay anonymous. Drop acknowledgments at submission.

Cite yourself in the third person. Concurrent unpublished self-cites go in the anonymized supplement.

Checklist

Keep the Paper Checklist in the PDF (typically after refs / optional appendix). Missing it is a reject.

Draft in the NeurIPS pack here, then re-check neurips.cc before submit.

FAQ

Can I post on arXiv before NeurIPS?
Yes. Keep the review PDF anonymous and do not advertise it as a NeurIPS submission during review.
NeurIPS vs ICML?
Both are flagship. Systems/theory/broad-impact work often fits NeurIPS; core algorithms fit both. Never dual-submit.
Do appendices count toward 9 pages?
Optional technical appendices usually do not count as content pages—confirm the year’s CFP.
