What this is

Textira has two kinds of space: upload files, turn them into searchable pages, and ask from the sidebar.

Two kinds of space

How to use it

1. Top nav “Knowledge” for a long-term library, with “Task literature” for one paper; “New paper” asks how to begin.
2. Open a space, upload from the sidebar; wait until status is Ready.
3. Knowledge: open a file, then “Make a page”. See Knowledge.
4. Task literature: to keep a paper long-term, open it and “Sync to knowledge”. Ask from the sidebar; for Qwen go to Settings to create a key, or “Copy MCP” in the sidebar.

Ask and write from the files

When files are ready, ask from the sidebar against the source, or attach the space when writing. Three ways: knowledge only, task literature only, orboth (task literature first, knowledge as backup; writing can attach both and search the task library first). See Workflows.

Sync to knowledge

To make a task paper searchable in a knowledge base: open it (or select several), “Sync to knowledge”, pick the library and folder. The original stays in task literature. When using both, task literature still comes first.

Connection IDs

HTTP uses UUID; MCP / paper integration use slug and the sv_…on the settings page. See the table in Concepts.

Qwen

• Sidebar ask: open a space and ask (needs a Qwen key); it only searches that space.
• Writing with MCP: in Settings · MCP or “Copy MCP” in the space sidebar. See Qwen MCP, MCP tools.
