GuideACL

ACL formatting · Anthology two-column, double-blind, ARR

ACL follows Anthology layouts. Long vs short caps differ, and most papers go ARR→commit—a short paper is not a truncated long one.

Length and Limitations

Typical long: 8 content pages; short: 4. Unlimited references; +1 page if accepted. A Limitations section is required and uncounted.

Exact caps shift by year and track—read that year’s *ACL CFP.

ARR and double-blind

Most ACL-family venues use ARR, then commit. Keep the review PDF anonymous—no names, affiliations, or acknowledgments.

Third-person self-citation; repos must not deanonymize you. arXiv is allowed if the ARR PDF stays anonymous.

Official template

Use the official *ACL two-column Letter template. Review copies often show page numbers and a ruler; camera-ready drops them.

Preview here, then check ARR cycles and commit deadlines before locking the draft.

FAQ
