HelpPacks

What to prepare before you submit

Updated 2026-09

A submission pack is more than one PDF. Missing checklists, pledges, or a malformed supplement can fail desk checks.

Almost always required

Main PDF in the official template, title/abstract metadata, and author records in the portal (sometimes not in the PDF under blind review).

Figures must print cleanly; some portals also want sources (.tex/.docx) or separate image uploads.

Common conference extras

NeurIPS-style venues: Paper Checklist inside the PDF. ICML-style: impact statement and appendices in the same PDF—no separate supplement deadline.

Code/data: anonymize when required, or state availability per the CFP.

  • Main PDF page and file-size caps
  • Supplement PDF or in-file appendix
  • Anonymous code bundle or availability note
  • Ethics / broader-impact statement when required

Common Chinese-journal extras

Portal submission; signed pledges; bilingual title/abstract/keywords; Word production after acceptance is common.

Double-blind titles also police filenames. Stamps and corresponding-author email rules follow the notice.

Final pass before upload

Compile with the official template; re-check anonymity; match author order to the portal/pledge.

Download the system preview immediately—catch missing pages, encoding issues, or dropped figures.

FAQ

Supplement or main text?
Essential claims must fit the main page cap. Reviewers need not read appendices.
Must I upload LaTeX sources?
Depends. Some venues want PDF only; others want sources or Word after acceptance.
